Kajjikaya

INGREDIENTS:

Maida - 2 cups
Putnaalu - 1 cup (these are a kind of channa daal we use for idli chatni)
Jaggery or suger - 3/4 cup (combination of the two tastes good too!)
Coconut - 3/4 cup
Oil for deep frying

DIRECTIONS:

The mould that we use for these is available in either indian stores or even American stores. (this is used to make ravioli with meat.)

Make a dough of maida (this should be exactly like chapathi dough) dry grind all the above seperately into coarse powder. Now mix all these three and grind once.

Make a small puri from maida and if you have the device . Open it, put the puri on it and add 2 spoons of mixed powder. Close it and deep fry it in oil.

If you do not have the mould, you can just make a puri. Put 2 spoons of powder and close it to form semi circle and fold it thru the edges. Deep fry this in oil.
