INGREDIENTS:
red lentils 3-4 cups
cauliflower
potatoes
cilantro
garam masala (check the local indian groceries out)
asafoetida (check the local indian groceries out)
onions
green beans
tomatoes
vegetable oil
hot peppers
lemon juice
DIRECTIONS:
Fry the vegetables mildly in couple of tblspoons of vegetable oil. (10-12 minutes) Boil the lentils until half cooked (10-12 minutes). Add the vegetables to the lentils and add salt, asafoetida (a 1/4 inch block will do), garam masala according to your personal tastes and continue cooking (10-12 minutes) on medium heat. Add cilantro and a dash of lemon juice before serving.
