Rajma Masala

INGREDIENTS:

4 handfuls of dried Rajma (Kidney beans), soaked overnight & boiled till very soft with 1 tsp salt (about 3 whistles or so in cooker),
6-7 green chillies, sliced fine,
1 medium sized potato, boiled & mashed
2 medium sized onions, chopped fine
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp chana masala or garam masala
chilli powder and salt to taste
coriander leaves , chopped fine
2-3 tbsps of oil.

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oil in a frying pan.

Add onions , green chillies and saute.

When onions are soft, add ginger-garlic paste and the potato and keep stirring.

When the ginger- garlic gives out an aroma, add the cooked rajma .

Keep stirring and mash some of the rajma with the back of your stirring spoon.

Add chilli powder and salt according to taste.

Stir in the chana masala and garnish with coriander leaves
