INGREDIENTS & DIRECTIONS:
Pour boiling water on 1 cup of Indian meal, to which add 1/2 cup of butter or suet, 1 cup sugar, a pinch of salt, 2 cups of milk, 1/2 cup molasses. One cup seeded raisins, flavor with cinnamon and nutmeg. Bake 2 hours and serve with or without cream.
