INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS:
One quart of milk, 5 dessert-spoons meal. Scald the meal in the milk, 1 to 2 cup sugar, 1 to 2 cup molasses, little salt and a little ginger, suet or a piece of butter size of an egg. Chop the suet. Bake 3 hours in a moderate oven. Add a few raisins, if you choose
