Indian Fry Bread

INGREDIENTS:

2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Warm water

DIRECTIONS:

Mix all together and knead for 1 minute. Form into 1 1/2 inch diameter balls. These balls are made by forcing the dough up through a small opening formed by your thumb and finger. Now take a ball of dough and press it out and stretch it out into a flat circular patty about 1/8 inch in thickness. Then gently drip the bread patty in a fry pan container 1 inch of very hot cooking oil.
In about 1 minute turn the bread over and remove when golden brown. Spread on butter, jam, jelly, honey or whatever suits your taste and you will enjoy your first fried bread.
